2014

The medical-technology business is listed in Frankfurt as Siemens Healthineers, with Siemens retaining a controlling stake that it still consolidates.

2020
Energy spun off

Siemens Energy is spun off and listed separately, taking the gas, power and wind businesses out of the group and leaving automation, infrastructure and rail as the industrial core.

2025
Altair closes and Innomotics is sold

Siemens completes the $10.6 billion acquisition of simulation-software maker Altair and sells the Innomotics motors business, reported as a discontinued operation — the reason the continuing-operations basis used on this page differs from the group's reported net income for fiscal 2025.

2026
ONE Tech Company and a record quarter

Leadership

Key Players

Roland Busch
President and Chief Executive Officer
Roland Busch
A Siemens lifer — he joined in 1994, ran Mobility and then the technology and strategy office, and took the CEO seat in February 2021. His public argument is the “ONE Tech Company” programme: pushing Siemens' automation, building and rail hardware onto a single software and AI stack, with the Xcelerator platform and the $10.6 billion Altair acquisition as the concrete steps. He fronts the quarterly results call and owns the digital-business growth target the company reports against — 18% growth in the first nine months of fiscal 2026 against a 15% target.

Veronika Bienert
Chief Financial Officer
Took the CFO role on April 1, 2026 after running Siemens Financial Services, and keeps responsibility for the service portfolio, real estate and global business services. She is the first woman to hold the Siemens CFO seat, succeeding Ralf P. Thomas after his eleven years in it.
Cedrik Neike
Member of the Managing Board and Chief Executive Officer, Digital Industries
Runs the automation and industrial-software business that carries the group's highest margins and its software growth story, including the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio and the Altair and Dotmatics acquisitions. Digital Industries revenue grew 10% on a comparable basis in the June 2026 quarter after two years of automation destocking.
Peter Koerte
Member of the Managing Board, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Strategy Officer
Owns technology and strategy for the group and, since July 1, 2026, also runs Smart Infrastructure — the electrification and building business whose data-center orders reached around €6 billion in the first nine months of fiscal 2026.
Judith Wiese
Member of the Managing Board, Chief People and Sustainability Officer
Responsible for human resources, sustainability and global business services across a workforce of roughly 317,000 people, and for the labour side of the ONE Tech Company reorganisation.
Jim Hagemann Snabe
Chairman of the Supervisory Board Board
Former co-chief executive of SAP; chairs the supervisory board that in February 2026 announced the Managing Board succession shrinking the board from seven members to five.
