Incorporated in Delaware, pivot to RPA

UiPath incorporates in Delaware and moves its centre of gravity to the United States, focusing the business on robotic process automation built on its computer-vision foundation.

2021
NYSE IPO at $56 a share

UiPath prices 23.89 million Class A shares at $56.00 and begins trading on the New York Stock Exchange under PATH on 21 April 2021, one of the largest US software IPOs ever. The shares have traded below that price for most of the years since.

2024
Dines returns as sole CEO

Robert Enslin resigns as chief executive and director on 23 May 2024, effective 1 June, and founder Daniel Dines takes back the CEO role. The company follows with restructuring, headcount reduction and an expanded stock repurchase authorisation.

Agentic automation and the Peak AI acquisition

UiPath acquires Peak AI Limited on 7 March 2025, makes its agentic automation platform generally available on 30 April 2025 with Maestro as the orchestration layer, and uses FUSION 2025 in Las Vegas that autumn to reposition itself as a business orchestration company rather than an RPA vendor.

First profitable first quarter

UiPath closes fiscal 2026 with $1.61 billion of revenue and $282 million of GAAP net income, then reports GAAP operating income of $28 million in the quarter ended 30 April 2026 — the first first-quarter GAAP profit in company history — alongside $1.901 billion of ARR and the launch of UiPath for Coding Agents.

Started the company in Bucharest in 2005, took it public on the NYSE in April 2021, stepped back to co-CEO and then executive chairman, and returned as sole CEO on 1 June 2024 after Robert Enslin resigned.
