Earnings calls

  1. Q2 2026 Aug 7, 2026 Burke argued that the second quarter matters less than what happened after it: PJM and ERCOT both set all-time summer peaks in July, and he read those peaks as proof that the structural demand story is arriving on schedule and that the grids can carry it. He was deliberately unromantic about data centres — roughly two of the five to six points of Texas load growth, with reshoring, electrification and population doing the rest — and he wants the interconnection queue culled rather than defended, because eight speculative projects in one county around a nuclear plant is how a real one gets blocked. On policy he pressed for incentives over mandates for large-load flexibility, and on ERCOT's soft forwards he blamed recency bias and a battery fleet earning a fifth of what its investors expected. The Helix commitment with KKR, NVIDIA and the Kuwait Investment Authority he framed as an option, not an obligation: up to $1 billion, half of it milestone-gated, bought in exchange for being the platform's preferred power partner.
