GE Aerospace H. Lawrence Culp, Jr.

Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, GE Aerospace (GE)

Signs GE Aerospace's filings as Chairman and CEO. He arrived in October 2018 as the first outsider to run General Electric, having spent thirteen years building Danaher, and spent his first years cutting debt and then dismantling the conglomerate into three listed companies. What is left under him is the jet-engine business, run on a lean operating system the company calls FLIGHT DECK; his public argument is that the constraint on growth is material input from suppliers rather than demand, and that time-on-wing improvements on the LEAP fleet are what convert a backlog of more than $210 billion into services revenue.
