Hewlett Packard Enterprise said in an 8-K on 30 September that it has secured a $1.2 billion order from Vultr for "AMD Helios AI Rack by HPE" systems, HPE's first for the product. The order is HPE's, booked at system prices. How much of it reaches AMD nobody has said.
HPE's release lists what each rack holds. From AMD: 72 Instinct MI455X GPUs, EPYC "Venice" CPUs, Pensando Vulcano NICs and the ROCm software. From HPE: six Juniper QFX5252 switch trays linking the GPUs, direct liquid cooling and deployment services. Memory and integration sit in the price too. None of the three companies publishes the split.
So the order can only be set against AMD as a ceiling. AMD's Data Center segment booked $6,718 million in the June quarter. $1,200m ÷ $6,718m = 17.9%, and that holds only if every dollar were AMD silicon and all of it landed in one quarter. The 8-K states no term. Each of those two gaps makes the real share smaller.
The filing proves a named buyer for AMD's rack-scale product through HPE. AMD's content and the years wait on AMD's own next print.
HPE Form 8-K, Exhibit 99.1 — 30 September 2026
The order, its buyer and its first-order status: HPE's 8-K of 30 September 2026. Rack contents, cooling and services: HPE's release on BusinessWire the same day. AMD's Data Center revenue: AMD's second-quarter 2026 release. The ratio is ours, a ceiling because no vendor discloses AMD's share of a Helios rack or the order's term.
