Earnings calls

  1. Q2 2026 Aug 5, 2026 Ricks argued that Lilly's quarter was a portfolio story rather than an obesity story alone — revenue up 48%, but with oncology, immunology and neuroscience medicines up 121% together — and that the constraint on the obesity franchise is access rather than demand, pointing to the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge programme that opened $50-a-month coverage to 20 million eligible Americans on 1 July and lifted covered lives by 35%. He closed the prepared remarks with "we're not satisfied." In Q&A he spent his time on retatrutide: Lilly wants to file it as a biologic, that position is in active litigation after a mixed first court decision, the clinical package is complete and only chemistry-and-manufacturing work remains, and the submission is still targeted for the first quarter of 2027.
