Joined Corning in 1983 in the finance group, ran the Optical Fiber business from 1996 and Optical Communications from 2001, became president and COO in 2002, CEO in 2005 and chairman in 2007. Author of the Springboard plan introduced in Q3 2023 and upgraded at the May 2026 investor day to a $40 billion annualised run rate by the end of 2030. Also sits on Amazon's board - the same Amazon that signed a multibillion-dollar data-centre fibre agreement with Corning in Q2 2026.
